Meet Dr. Laurie Parker
Welcome! To introduce myself I need to share that I absolutely LOVE my job. It is a privilege to assist clients in the transformation of their lives. Human beings are capable of incredible growth and change with the right person to facilitate. My life’s passion is helping my clients, not only relieve difficulties but also to achieve their highest potential!
I strive to make my clients feel accepted, validated, valued and empowered!
Dr. Parkers’s work experience and history:
Dr. Laurie Parker has had over 20+ years of clinical experience in the Mental Health field. She received her Master’s degree from Boston University in 2001 (currently is an L.I.C.S.W.) and received her doctorate from Liberty University. She has worked with diverse populations and has had extensive work experience in the following areas:

Laurie works with diverse populations, and varying mental health issues. She treats children, adults, couples and families using, an eclectic modality in treatment. She feels each client is unique and deserves an individualized approach.
Ms. Parker does everything possible to stay informed with the latest evidenced based practices. They include but are not limited to the following skills and /or modalities:
Cognitive-Behavioral treatment, Dialectical Behavioral, EMDR, Problem solving, Relaxation/Stress Management and Solution focused.
Work history includes: Little Friends, Naperville, Illinois (group home for Autistic Children), Illinois youth center (working with juvenile delinquents) Catholic Social Services, McCarrick Elementary School, Charis Counseling, Middleboro, MA. Adjunct Professor of Psychology and Sociology at Massasoit Community College (Canton, MA) and President of Emotional Wellness Counseling since 2007.
Laurie is level II certified in E.M.D.R.
She holds certification in MA to complete the Massachusetts Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths assessment (CANS) as part of the Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI) for Massachusetts.
